No Cost Actions.
- De-frost it before it gets too bad.
- Ensure heat can circulate around the back
- Set it to the highest safe temperature (XC)
- Don’t cram it too full – if the air can’t circulate it won’t work
properly.
- If you have the option, keep it in a cool place.
- If you’re regularly running it nearly empty, place
blown up plastic bags in it
- To save the cold air all spilling out each time the door is opened.
- Don’t keep the door open longer than you need to.
- Allow food to cool before putting it in the fridge.
Small Cost Actions
- When it needs replacing, buy one with a high energy rating.
- Don’t buy a fridge that is larger than you need
