Stall at Dickensian Evening
Wednesday, 18 February 2009

snowman_compressed.jpgThe WACA Dickensian Evening stall featured a miniature polar bear standing on awaca_dickensian_stall_3_compressed.jpg sheet of ice, with visitors asked to think how long it would take before the ice melted.  It actually lasted about 2 hours, but several people suggested ways in which it could last longer, such as turning down the heating or off the lights - things that we could all be doing in our own homes.

Our stand was rarely quiet, with a steady flow of passers by stopping by to see what was going on.  We handed out several dozen energy saving fridge magnets and other literature, and shared ideas with people on how to save energy at home.
